  The SDE, within AL&S BU Supplier Quality, is in charge to:

  • Ensure complete Process and Product release of  new buy components from external suppliers in cooperation with the development team (Project Buyer, Project Manager, R&D, Quality,  Manufacturing, Logistic…) before the Start of production
  • Lead the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology, performing Supplier project review, process audit and supplier capacity check
  • Prepare and participate to the Sourcing Process
  • Manage Improvement Programs with Suppliers
  • Manage Marelli Quality Contracts discussions with Suppliers

  MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support R&D, Project Buyer and Development Team in Supplier selection of new buy components from external supplier and all sourcing phases
  • Act as “One-voice” towards Suppliers across all involved Divisions
  • Ensure supply risk analysis evaluation in the early project phase
  • Participate to Technical Analysis and validate suppliers solutions in terms of Quality, Technical/ Process, Capability and Timing; in line with the project team
  • Ensure lessons learned application through feasibility commitment and Technical Analysis approval
  • Ensure the implementation of PCBA/ECU commodity state of the art and best in class standards/practice requirements in supplier processes through the application of Commodity Quality Check List
  • Ensure the transmission and implementation of Customer requirements
  • Validate the APQP Review performed by or with the suppliers   
  • Follow up the planning, execution and completion of all tasks required for Production part Approval Process (PPAP) evaluation and approval (including tool payments when relevant and interim approval management when applicable)
  • Support PPAP validation during Change Management process and promote second sourcing 
  • Take decisions, solve problems autonomously, escalate properly
  • Work across a global, matrixed organization, sharing and learning best practices
  • Continuous cooperation with Project Buyer, Commodity Purchasing organization, Project team and Suppliers
  • Participate to any relevant technical meeting with R&D and Suppliers
  • Support the definition of the Request For Quotation Package for new components
  • Perform requirements review and organize technical meetings and drawing/specifications reviews with suppliers and Development Team
  • Maintain all defined actions on track with Supplier, ensuring their availability on the APQP Data Base
  • Apply the APQP Lessons Learned: measure the effectiveness of the APQP process application, by means of reverse APQP process analysis based on the review of product performances, measured 6 months after start of production

  REQUIREMENTS

  EDUCATION (SCHOOL/SPECIALIZATION):   Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Industrial sectors (electrical/electronic engineering, materials engineering, Physics or equivalent, preferable in the area of PCBA/ECU components.

  LANGUAGES: fluent English (written, spoken)

  EXPERIENCES: Minimum 5 years in industrial sector, with at least 2 years in quality field; professional experience in automotive industry preferred. Experience in supplier quality field is highly appreciated

  • Able to negotiate and convince, able to manage meetings
  • Perfect knowledge in approaching new component development: supplier selection, Requirements definition, Advance Product Quality Planning, verification of production capacity, Initial Samples Control Reports validation, Production Part Approval Process; experience in Process Audit (qualified Auditor license according to VDA 6.3 is preferred)
  • Knowledge and practice of quality tools: FMEA, Statistical Process Control, Process capabilities, problem solving.. (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis, experience capitalization, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Quality Norm IATF 16949, Quality, Environmental, Sustainability and safety requirements
  • Good knowledge of MS office suites
  • Travel availability (30–50%)

   

  Technical skills & competences

  • Advanced PCBA knowledge (front-end: SMT process, back-end processes: panel separation, ICT test, uC programming, 100% EOL test), knowledge of LED PCBA is preferred
  • knowledge about other soldering processes (selective Wave & PTH etc.) 
  • knowledge of PCBA assembly, ECU assembly (thermal paste dispensing process, screwing, riveting, assembly processes,  ….)
  • applicable norms & standards (such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, AEC-Qxx, S20.20, IEC 61340-5-1 / IEC 61340-5-3,  ASPICE, …)
