  Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Wire Extrusion quotation and process engineering activities.
  • Maintain close communication with the PQC Department, Sourcing, Purchasing, Production, Quality,
  • Maintenance, Customer Service, and General Plant Manager.
  • Understanding Customer and UL/CSA requirements.
  • Processing quotes for wire & cable.
  • Understand material usage in production vs. BOMs.
  • Maintain a reliable quotation process while improving raw material costing and BOMs.
  • Maintains the MES, SAP, and AGILE databases.
  • Generate and maintain internal wire & cable drawings using the AutoCAD program.
  • Communicate and coordinate activities related to new wire & cable introduction.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Lead Auditor.
  • Provide training for internal audit findings, analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Generate and revise MPS (manufacturing process sheets).
  • Provide backup to the production team when the GM assistant indicates.
  • Provide support for UL/CSA factory inspection.
  • Implement process improvements through special projects.
  • Provide support to production equipment on basic PLC programming skills.
  • Responsible for the ECR/ECNs for Engineering.
  • Maintain and generate IMDS numbers for PPAP purposes.
  • Lead or participate in KPIs, OKR, and new product introduction projects.
  • Provide support for customer samples.

  Job Experience/Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Background in wire & cable cost reduction.
  • Team leadership skills preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Google apps, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and other Engineering software.
  • Knowledgeable in the ISO 9001 standard. Trained and certified as an internal auditor.

  Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
