GENERAL DEEscrituraION
The Emergency Response Specialist is responsible for implementing and executing the organization's emergency prevention, mitigation, preparedness, and response system for the assigned site, as well as providing support to remote sites.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Minimum Education:
- Technical career in: Civil Protection or a related fiel. Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Rank of Lieutenant or above in a Fire Department.
- Experience operating emergency vehicles (fire trucks)
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency response.
- Experience delivering training, conducting emergency drills, inspecting emergency response equipment, identifying fire hazards and potential emergency risks, and driving and operating emergency vehicles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of STPS regulations, Civil Protection requirements, ISO 45001, and NFPA standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and email).
- Knowledge of mobile firefighting equipment and fixed fire protection systems.
- Operation of fire pumps and emergency alarm systems.
- Incident Command System (ICS) development and implementation.
- Physical and mental fitness for emergency response activities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed, strong leadership skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and execute work plans.
- DC-5 certification preferred in: Fire Extinguisher Use and Handling, Search and Rescue, Building Evacuation, Fire Prevention, and Hazardous Chemical Handling.
- DC-3 certification in Working at Heights and Confined Space Rescue.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
