  • Descripción y Requisitos

    Role Responsibilities Include:

    • Analyze data, business requirements, and market intelligence to develop and execute complex, multi-functional sourcing strategies for assigned purchasing categories, including indirect and raw materials

    • Lead  and support local sourcing activities, including developing RFP/RFQ documents to conducting quotation analysis and presenting final recommendations for contract awards to stakeholders.

    • Identify and prioritize new sourcing opportunities and cost-savings initiatives through spend analysis, understanding of Supplier capabilities, and business needs.

    • Support a North America and Global Procurement organization to ensure decision alignment with North American plant objectives and operational metrics

    • Serve as supply chain support for new product launches,  material sourcing, and supply chain planning in partnership with Leads from North America and Global Procurement and local stakeholders

    • Support resolution of multi-functional challenges related to supply chain during new product introductions

    • Support and Lead packaging optimization initiatives to improve product quality, increase package density, and lower material costs.

    • Lead and support all supplier negotiations with integrity to achieve optimized Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimize business risk.

    • Manage, develop, and cultivate long-term strategic supplier relationships. Establish and monitor Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) metrics for high-impact contracts.

    • Apply contract management best practices to structure, negotiate, and manage the entire contract lifecycle, memorializing results through clear contractual language.

    • Act as a primary contact for and collaborate effectively with global and local stakeholders

    • Facilitate the creation, communication, and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as required to support facility operations.

    • Ensure the prompt and accurate entry and confirmation of purchase orders to meet stakeholder requirements.

    • Support and drive continuous improvements in the use of SAP and other purchasing systems and processes.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager, adapting to production seasonality and evolving business needs.


    In return you will bring:

    • Post-secondary education majoring in business, materials management, or engineering. Equivalent experience will be considered.

    • Certifications in Supply Chain Management, Procurement strategy and Project Management  

    • A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or category management.

    • Demonstrated experience in MRO Purchasing, and managing raw materials within a manufacturing environment.

    • Proven track record managing the end-to-end sourcing process, from RFP development to contract negotiation and lifecycle management.

    • Experience in supplier relationship management (SRM), including performance monitoring and optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

    • Experience working on cross-functional Product Launch or Program Management teams is highly desirable.

    • Operational proficiency in SAP is required, with an expert understanding of its business connections. Specific experience with SAP MRP tools for forecasting and inventory planning is highly valued.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Gmail, docs, sheets, drive)

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English/Spanish is required.

    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex cross-functional interactions and present to leadership.

    • Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate tight deadlines in a high-paced, change-oriented environment.

    • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

    • The capability to work independently with minimal supervision for extended periods.

    • Adaptability and flexibility in working hours to collaborate with global teams.

    • Willingness to travel to vendor and company sites as needed.
