• Descripción y Requisitos

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations (e.g., STPS, SEMARNAT, OSHA, EPA).

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive and corrective actions.

  • Lead injury and incident investigations, determine root cause analysis, and manage follow-up.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all levels of the organization.

  • Coordinate emergency response planning and drills.

  • Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal processes according to regulations.

  • Monitor environmental permits and reporting obligations (air emissions, water discharges, etc.).

  •  Maintain EHS documentation, records, metrics, and reports.

  • Promote and support continuous improvement in the site’s safety culture and environmental performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on safety audits, inspections, and projects.

  • Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.

  
  

  EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Knowledge of EHS regulations in Mexico (NOMs, Ley Federal del Trabajo, etc.).

  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation tools.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of EHS management systems is a plus.

  • English proficiency (intermediate to advanced level, depending on the site).

  • Certification in STPS standards (e.g., NOM-019, NOM-030).

  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 knowledge or auditor certification.

  • Emergency response and first aid certifications.

  • Experience leading EHS projects or continuous improvement initiatives.
