JOB SUMMARY
Is responsible for managing, strategizing, and controlling maintenance and engineering activities, ensuring the availability, reliability, and continuous improvement of the plant's equipment, facilities, and services. Leads investment projects, process optimization, and compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and productivity standards to support the business's operational objectives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor the results of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance implementation to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Monitor and manage the execution of engineering, automation, infrastructure, and process improvement projects, ensuring compliance with established scope, cost, quality, and time objectives.
• Manage the Maintenance and Engineering area budget, controlling operating and investment expenses.
• Ensure compliance with the area's key performance indicators (KPIs), such as equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, preventive maintenance plan compliance, maintenance costs, operational efficiency, and project execution.
• Lead the Maintenance and Engineering team by assigning priorities, developing skills, evaluating performance, and promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives through Implement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
• Monitor the proper management of spare parts, materials, and critical tool inventory, ensuring their availability to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with the Production, Quality, Safety, Supply Chain, and Finance departments to develop and implement technical solutions that contribute to achieving the organization's operational and strategic objectives
• Implement continuous improvement programs such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, and SMED
• Create periodic improvement reports and present them weekly to Corporate
• Align with company objectives regarding Safety, productivity, quality, etc.
• Define continuous improvement projects based on the company's KPIs
AUTHORITIES
- Authorize the scheduling and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
- Prioritize work orders
- Stop equipment, production lines, or facilities when there is a safety risk People or product quality
- Approve technical modifications, engineering improvements, and changes to equipment or processes
- Promote the development of your work team based on performance, skills, etc.
EDUCATION
- Industrial Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or similar. Required
EXPERIENCE
- 3 years of experience as a Superintendent. Required
- Management of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
- Lean Manufacturing
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Engineering project management
- Continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, SMED)
- Problem-solving tools
