JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing new suppliers and growing relationships with both new and existing suppliers to achieve the best cost-benefit ratio for the company.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identify suppliers that meet company’s requirements and evaluate their performance using quarterly metrics.
2. Obtain quotes from various suppliers to reduce costs.
3. Negotiate the best possible purchase terms and generate contracts when business warrants it.
4. Monitor market trends that may affect current prices and develop an action plan to mitigate risks.
5. Support the sales, key account management, and engineering departments in developing new projects with suppliers.
6. Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the environmental and quality management systems.
AUTHORITY
- Decide which supplier and under what terms products related to production processes are purchased.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Required.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing and/or sourcing. Required.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and packaging. Desirable.
LANGUAGES
- English 85% Written and Spoken. Required
