    Automation Engineer
    Wiwynn Mexico – Plant 1, 2, or 3

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for the design, maintenance, and support of automated systems within the manufacturing plant, ensuring the efficient operation of electrical and robotic equipment while maintaining technical documentation related to process improvements and engineering changes.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, review, and maintain electrical diagrams, panel layouts, and I/O lists.
    • Select, install, and configure sensors according to process requirements.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control system failures in automated equipment.
    • Document engineering changes, process improvements, and technical procedures.
    • Integrate, support, and maintain SCARA robots and collaborative robots (cobots).
    • Coordinate technical activities with domestic and international suppliers.
    • Provide technical support for automation systems to ensure continuous production operation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation improvements and optimize manufacturing processes.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines:
      • Electrical Engineering
      • Electronics Engineering
      • Mechatronics Engineering
      • Automation Engineering
      • Related Engineering field

    Languages

    • Intermediate to Advanced Technical English (required).
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and documentation.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with international suppliers.

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

    • Design and interpretation of electrical schematics and diagrams.
    • Configuration and programming of automated systems.
    • Management of I/O lists and electrical panel layouts.
    • Selection, installation, and configuration of industrial sensors.
    • Integration and support of SCARA robots.
    • Operation and support of collaborative robots (cobots).
    • Electrical and control systems troubleshooting.
    • Development of technical documentation, work instructions, and procedures.
