Continuous Improvement Engineer
The Continuous Improvement Engineer develops, leads, and executes strategies to improve processes, increase efficiency, reduce costs, enhance quality, and increase customer satisfaction. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are required to develop and implement cost reduction programs, process improvements, new product development, and process optimization. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that implemented improvement projects are sustainable and measurable.
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Competence in Lean Six Sigma methodology
- Experience in mapping, optimizing, and implementing processes
- Problems methods (8D’s)
- Knowledge in Improvement Projects, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 6 Sixma, A3, Shainin Red X, Problem Solving (8D’s), 5S's.
- Quality tools (Cause and Effect Diagrams, Inspection Sheets, Control Charts, Flow Charts, Histograms, Pareto Charts, Scatter Plots)
- Core Tools: APQP Capability Analysis Tool, PPAP Process Improvement Tool, FMEA Analysis of Failure Modes and Effects and Effects, SPC Statistical Process Control, MSA Analysis of Measurement Systems and CP Control Plan.
Maintain and monitor performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with other departments and/or cross-functional teams to ensure Continuous Improvement.
Guide and support other team members in process improvement and data analysis.
Facilitation of workshops and training sessions for staff on new methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
Responsible for immediately communicating all serious and imminent risks or dangers and defects in management systems such as: Quality, environmental, health and safety, energy, labor and ethics, C-TPAT, information security, to name a few. Must collaborate to improve the aforementioned systems and contribute to compliance with legal, client and other requirements.
