As a member of the Transition Team, the individual plans, organizes, recommends and leads all sourcing initiatives and projects related to plant closures, acquisitions or transitions of product lines. Engages with the site operations to solicit support and gain information to complete project tasks. Ensures that current supply chain strategies are incorporated into project tasks that support business objectives and goals.
Scope:
This position supports the S&C business worldwide including Asia, Europe, and North America. The position can be located at any one of S&C's global sites. Commodities include all mechanical and electronic commodities involving the global supply base. This position reports to the Sourcing Programs Leader.
Financial Dimensions:
Project scope for various commodities valued from $10 million to $100 million. Goals include maintaining project timelines and project costs.
Principal Accountabilities:

• Plans, organizes and manages both strategic and tactical sourcing and procurement efforts involving a Transition Project

• Prepares sourcing business plans to meet Transition Team goals.

• Executes sourcing plans including but not limited to soliciting quotations, recommending suppliers/companies, evaluate quotations, negotiating pricing, conducting cost analysis and ensuring that the proper legal agreements are correctly prepared.

• Work with the Transition Team to ensure that Supply Chain Management strategies are applied to the Project.

• Determines supplier selection criteria.

• Evaluates and selects suppliers with respect to meeting specifications and business requirements.

• Solicits as needed technical support to complete project tasks.

• Develops and executes exit strategies.

• Ensures that current HON policies and procedures, government regulations and customer requirements relative to Sourcing are being followed.

• Engage variety of business disciplines across all facets of Honeywell involving Supply Chain sourcing plans.

• Participate and complete Total Cost Models and other financial workbooks.

• May initiate and prepare supply agreements that support overall Supply Chain goals and objectives.

• Maintains continuous in-depth knowledge of market conditions, and industry trends.

• Communicates and prepares reports and results as required by the Sourcing Programs Leader.

• Works with regional and New Product Introduction Commodity Managers as necessary.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree. Focus in Supply Chain or Operations Management.

• 3 - 8 years experience in global commodity management.

• 5+ years experience in international contract negotiations.

• 5+ years experience leading cross-functional projects.

• 5+ years experience with SAP and Oracle.

• 3+ years experience in supervisory position.

• CPM, CPIM, or APICS certification.

• Six Sigma Greenbelt certified
Additional skills:

• Proven success in identification, selection, negotiation with and integration of global suppliers.

• Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information

• General knowledge of regional trade compliance laws and issues.

• Specific knowledge and experience with various direct material commodities.

• Proven ability to develop and negotiate contractual documents.

• Successful use of decision-making and analytical tools.

• Demonstrated ability to manage/lead multiple projects and changing priorities.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and establish business relationships with key internal customers and Team members.

• Excellent team management/supervisory abilities.

• Strong communication and leadership skills in dealing with a global cross-functional team.

• Ability to work comfortably in a highly matrixed organizational environment.

• Experience implementing rapid replenishment programs (VMI or consignment).

• Strong proficiency in all MS Office packages, Oracle, SAP or other related ERP databases
