What Performance Engineering is
· Aircraft Engine Performance is the study of the overall aero-thermodynamic behavior during the operation of an aircraft engine.
· We are interested to understand how an engine behaves under changing operating conditions –pressure, temperature, air density– by studying several variable parameters such as efficiency, rotating speed, fuel consumption, etc. This is accomplished by using a series of data collecting and the usage of some simulation tools to evaluate the Engine Performance Trend.
Minimum Position Requirements
· Mechanical/Mechanical-Electrical/Aeronautical Engineer
· Fluent in English Communication (oral & written)
· Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics knowledge
· PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Demonstrated ability to work independently
Preferred Characteristics (not necessary)
· Gas Turbine Aero-thermodynamics knowledge
· Training/experience in statistical analysis & software (Minitab)
· Data base handling ability
· FORTRAN/Visual Basic/C programming
· UNIX experience
· Master/PhD Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
